Recognition for a great God

You know how sometimes you don't really see what's around you, until
you look through another's eyes?
How you can't see the forest for the trees?
I remember working at a greenhouse in my younger years. The work was
hard, lots of heavy lifting, and featured long hours, sometimes more
than 12 hours a day. We worked in hot humid conditions and the amount
of lifting, carrying and moving was truly backbreaking.
That day I was in the "dirt shed" loading up long carts with trays
filled with dirt, ready for transplanting. I stepped out of the shed,
where acres of greenhouses filled with blooming "moms" were situated,
only to find an older lady in my path.
She gazed out at the greenhouse and said. "You are so lucky. You get
to work surrounded by this beauty all day."
It was as if my eyes were opened. For the first time I truly looked.
She was right, it was beautiful. It smelled intoxicating, and it was
like a flower heaven. Somehow my load seemed lightened as a result.

Reading Daniel 2:47 I had that same kind of feeling this morning.
Here's King Nebuchednezzar, (sorry if the spelling is wrong), who is
so powerful he really doesn't need to bow to anyone. But after Daniel
told him what his dream (about the statue) means, the king was
suitably impressed.
And because Daniel made it very clear to him that God interpreted the
dream, he knew who he should be impressed with.
Vs. 47 says "...Truly, your God is the God of gods, the Lord over
Kings, a revealer of mysteries..."
I've known this since I first heard the word of God when I was just a
kid. But it's times like today that I actually felt it, and realized
the immensity of those words.
Truly our God is great. He is awesome and how blessed are we that we
can know him?
